Tina Knowles is abruptly putting the brakes on new rumors that her daughter Beyoncé is pregnant.

 
The rumor mill was churning at top-speed yesterday after sources for Us Weekly claimed Bey and hubby Jay-Z are expecting and that their loved ones were already congratulating them on the baby. 

 
Not  24 hours later, Tina Knowles put a stop to all the hearsay during her sit-down  on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” During the episode, which airs today, Tina answers the question on everyone’s mind.
 
“I’m here to clear the rumors up. The truth is that it’s not Beyoncé that’s pregnant, it’s me,” Tina joked with the audience. “I’m kidding ya’ll. I’m 56.”
 
“No, it’s not true. Not right now,” Tina said more seriously, acknowledging that this bit of gossip has surfaced several times over the last two years. “With all the rumors, by now I should have five or six grandchildren.”


 
Short of an official release from Bey and Jay themselves, this is probably the most reliable comment on the situation.
