Eva Longoria files for divorce

Eva Longoria is seeking a split from NBA hubby Tony Parker amid rumors that he's cheating on her.

Hours after the pair dismissed gossip that there were splitting up, the “Desperate Housewives” actress released a statement via Twitter confirming that their marriage was over.

“It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce,” Eva tweeted yesterday afternoon. “We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness.”

UsMagazine.com reports that Eva filed for divorce after she found hundred of text messages Tony exchanged with a woman named Erin Barry. Erin is the estranged wife of Tony’s ex-teammate Brent Barry.

Eva’s BFF, “Extra” host Mario Lopez, spoke on Eva’s behalf, updating everyone on how she’s been holding up in the face of her divorce.

"Eva wants everyone to know she's devastated by the rumors of Tony's infidelity,” he told “Extra” viewers. “She loved her husband and is heartbroken about their split, but she’s strong.”

According to “Extra,” in light of her split, Eva has decided that she will not appear at the American Music Awards on Sunday. She will, however, be spending Thanksgiving with friends.
