Steve Harvey doesn’t think men and women can just be friends.
Straight Talk, No Chaser, Steve stopped by CNN to explain his theory that men don’t befriend women without an ulterior motive.
As the comedian-turned-love-guru told CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield about her male buddies, “He’s your friend only because you have made it absolutely clear that nothing else is happening except this friendship we have.”
Steve hypothesizes that most men are hanging around in hopes of someday becoming more, if given the chance. What he doesn’t say, however, is where friendships between gay men and straight women factor into the this.
“We remain your friend in hopes that one day there will be a crack in the door, a chink in the armor,” he explained. “Trust and believe that guy that you think is your friend will slide in that crack the moment he gets the opportunity.”
