Lauryn Hill’s Atlanta show disappoints

Lauryn Hill lost a few fans in Atlanta after trying out some new material.

SandraRose.com reports that the singer left waiting fans at Center Stage unimpressed and irritated on Saturday. For starters, Lauryn showed up three hours late to the show, which was supposed to start at 9 p.m.

An industry insider, who called the show “very disappointing,” said a local DJ kept the fans entertained by spinning some old-school music. When Lauryn finally made her way to the stage after midnight, concertgoers were pumped for some of their favorite Lauryn songs, but that’s not the type of show L-Boogie was in the mood for.

Lauryn confused fans by saying she was sooo over “playing the same music night after night.” She then launched into chopped and screwed renditions of her hits, backed by music that was way too loud.

“It was new music completely,” one female audience member said. “The lyrics were the same, but you had to be on ecstasy to follow the music!”

Lauryn called for her confused fans to join in, but they were at a loss. Those that weren’t, booed at the former Fugees singer before exiting the venue in a huff.

“They didn’t walk out—they stomped out!” said the fan, who ultimately walked out herself.
