Mariah Carey has found that the best way to avoid packing on the pounds during her pregnancy is to get busy in the kitchen.
 
For most women, cravings are a pesky side effect of carrying another life, but Nick Cannon said his wife found a creative way around them.
 
“I think she’s figured out brilliantly that when she craves stuff, she doesn’t necessarily have to eat it,” Nick said, according to ShowBizSpy.com.
 
According to the radio host, Mariah takes her time crafting dishes with lots of love. “When she cooks, she cooks everything from scratch, and then the cravings go away," Nick said. "So I get stuck with eating all the food. I’ll be gaining weight during this pregnancy.”
 
Hmmm...Mariah could be on to something. In the meantime, Nick said that all the cooking just adds to the maternal qualities that Mariah already exhibits in caring for their unborn twins above her own comfort.
 
“She’s holding up beautifully,” Nick said, beaming. “To see this strength! It’s a different type of strength to carry around two babies. She’s not even concerned with her aches and pains which I’m sure are great. She’s so nurturing right now. It’s wonderful. It’s amazing to see."
 
Nick's practicing to be a dad, too, and the proud papa can't wait to meet his kids. “I’m extremely excited about bringing new life into the world. It’s a journey every single day," he said. "It’s something new. I’m nervous. I’m excited. We’re just taking it one day at a time.”
