Percy Miller supports Michelle Obama with concert
Percy Miller wants to help Michelle Obama in her campaign against childhood obesity. While the First Lady urges Americans to eat healthier and get active with her Let’s Move initiative, Percy suggests we move with music.
“We are taking the initiative to help fight child obesity by educating the next generation on how to eat right and exercise through music, dance and entertainment,” reads the www.movewithmusic.org site.
The organization will also be encouraging music fans to move and dance in celebration of the life of Teena Marie, who died on December 26. On February 11, during Grammy week, a concert will be held in Los Angeles to serve the dual purpose of honoring her legacy and getting fans to dance.
Percy hopes to recruit other music industry notables to help support the effort and join the campaign.
According to the press release, Percy and Romeo are “connecting musicians and entertainers through concert events to bring awareness to this epidemic of childhood obesity and health issues.”
