Raven-Symoné returns to TV
Raven-Symoné, and her new physique, will be starring in an upcoming ABC Family sitcom to premiere later this year.
Raven will star as Georgia in the new series, titled “The Great State of Georgia.” Her last series, “That’s So Raven,” which she also starred in, enjoyed a four-year run on the Disney Channel. She received five NAACP Image Awards during the show’s run.
Georgia is not a new role for Raven, who starred in an ABC Family TV movie of the same name in 2010.
The announcement comes a few months after Raven made headlines for her drastic weight loss. She was uncomfortable with the attention her new figure was drawing, but now TV fans will be seeing her every week on the new show.
