Obamas tape final 'Oprah' chat

We've got a sneak peek of Oprah Winfrey's last sit-down with Barack and Michelle Obama.
Barack and Michelle Obama popped over to Chicago on Wednesday to tape their final interview on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," set to air next week. While their chat covered a range of topics, O was quick to get Barack's thoughts about his long-form birth certificate, which he released just hours before coming to the set.
The president took the question in stride, joking, "Can I just say, I was there, so I knew. I knew I had been born. I remembered it."
"He was born here," Michelle shouted, throwing up her hands.
But Barack put coverage of the release in perspective when he reminded Oprah what other major issues are facing the country. He was floored with how much more attention a piece of paper got over the far more pressing matters of public policy currently all the table.
"Bottom line is this: Two weeks ago a huge debate was initated about where our budget needs to go," Barack said. "During the course of this major debate, where I gave a big speech and the Republicans voted on their proposal, the biggest news was this birth certificate thing."
There has been debate over whether the president, who also released a copy of his birth certifcate in 2008, should have released a more detailed document on Wednesday.
'I said to my team, look, even though this is not usually what the state of Hawaii does," Barack explained, "let's ask them for a special dispensation where they will go ahead and provide us with the original to see if we can put this to rest."
