After almost 13 years of marriage, six children and three albums, duo Aja and Fatin of Kindred the Family Soul still manage to come out with a new labor of love that promises to take your mind off of those high gas prices (temporarily, at least).

“This is a time capsule of the past two years of what the country and our family has experienced,” Fatin said. “As musicians, we can identify with the plight of those who are self-employed. It’s a difficult time for everyone, and the things that are constant are love, family and your relationship with God.”

With tracks like “You Got Love,” “Magic” and the title track, “Love Has No Recession,” Kindred said they made sure to listen to the public and use their own experiences through hardships to “make the message poignant but sweet.”
