T-Pain swears off auto-tune
T-Pain has said that he will never ever again use auto-tune, the device that made him a household name and modern industry trendsetter.
Moment of silence! T-Pain vowed today that he's leaving the Auto-Tune behind and moving onto something more original.
"I'm done with Auto-Tune," he announced in a statement released today. "I vow right here, right now, to never use Auto-Tune again. I'm onto something that I think is bigger and better called 'The T-Pain Effect.'"
T-Pain has teamed with audio technology company iZotope to develop the new sound, but it's not clear whether or not The T-Pain Effect is another way to digitally alter his voice.
