Naturi Naughton joins 'Wolverine'
Naturi Naughton is tapping into her inner power for the follow-up to X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Nauturi will play Cecilia Reyes, a doctor who was a member of the X-men, in The Wolverine, IndieWire.com reports. The film, starring Hugh Jackman, will have Wolverine training a Samurai in Japan.
There's no word on how Cecilia will be brought into the movie's plot. She once trained with the X-Men, but when offered an official spot on the team, she turned it down because she couldn't accept herself as mutant. Professor Xavier has vowed to keep her status a secret.
Cecilia's power is that she can generate a psioplasmic force field from her body that can protect her from attacks, although she will still feel the blows. She can also mold the field, which is attached to her life force, into melee weapons such a spikes, hammers and battering rams.
There's no word on when production on The Wolverine is set to begin, but in the meantime, be sure to watch out for Naturi when "The Playboy Club" debuts this fall on NBC.
