Men, take heed. Choose your girlfriend’s gifts wisely.

LaLa Anthony recently revealed that a Christmas present Carmelo Anthony gave her during their relationship almost ended things.

“It was Christmas night, and we had only been dating for a year and all he got me was a pair of pajamas, and I was like, ‘It’s kinda cheap’,” LaLa told Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa.

More than just a little disappointed by the not-so-thoughtful gift, LaLa called her girlfriends and told them that she might be ending things with the NBA baller.

“This is over with… pair of pajamas. I can’t do that,” she told her BFFs.

She didn’t tell Melo what she was thinking, and that’s probably for the best, because he’d planned all along to present her with a better token of his affection.

“Right before I went to bed, he proposed to me,” LaLa said.

The rest, as they say, is history.
