Whitney Houston dead at 48
Music legend Whitney Houston has passed away at the age of 48.
Publicist Kristen Foster announced today that Whitney has died, but she didn't mention the cause of death. CNN reports that her bodyguard Ray, not singer Ray J, as CNN previously reported, is who found her body at the Beverly Hills Hilton just before Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy party. The cause of Whitney's death is unknown at this time.
The "I Will Always Love You" diva was last spotted at the Kelly Price & Friends Unplugged: For The Love Of R&B Grammy Party at Tru Hollywood earlier this week.
Whitney hit the national stage in the '80s, astonishing crowds with her powerhouse vocals in songs such as "How Will I Know" and "Saving All My Love For You." Her career also spawned hits such as "Greatest Love of All," "I'm Every Woman," and "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)."
Later on, she would prove that she was more than a beautiful voice with roles Waiting To Exhale and The Bodyguard. A remake of Sparkle, due in theaters in August, was the last film she ever worked on.
S2S will keep you posted on this story as it develops.
